School enhancement program is a flagship initiative of CWF. The focus is to work with government schools to enhance quality of education. CWF’s main concern is the realisation of sustainable development in which the children, teachers and the community are involved through positive activities that support proper learning environment by providing habitable surroundings and hence ensuring long term socio-economic welfare.
It is also in a way assisting the Government to attain the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), initiated by the United Nations in 2000, by improving the standard of education, strengthening the existing infrastructure, providing basic facilities, increasing the net enrollment ratio in primary education and improving the health & learning abilities of children. The long term objective of this program is to contribute to the achievement of the MDG of attaining universal primary education by 2015. The idea is to effectively identify problems and execute solutions to help governments and other developmental bodies facilitate and carry out skills transfer to the younger generation who are not fortunate enough to go to school.
